Every spring, all members of AAOE are encouraged to participate in the annual survey, providing details about their orthopaedic practices to be aggregated as a true industry guide.

For over 20 years, AAOE has conducted an annual benchmarking survey to provide orthopaedic practices with the data needed to make key strategic decisions in their practices. Unlike other benchmarking surveys conducted in the medical field, the AAOE Benchmarking Survey captures operational metrics focused on orthopaedic practices, such as:

- Revenue and expense by sub-specialties
- Productivity and compensation for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
- Compensation and benefits for executives
- Overhead expenses
- Charges, collections, and accounts receivable
- Ancillary services including X-Ray, MRI, PT, and DME
- Recruitment strategies

Members
Participating AAOE members will receive the results of the survey for free, in addition to receiving customized reports based on factors such as practice size, region, state, population size, and specialty.
Members also receive free access to educational courses:
- Complete Tier 1 – Choose 5 educational courses to access for free (up to a $500 value!)
- Complete Tier 2 – Choose 20 educational courses to access for free (up to a $1900 value)
- Complete Tier 3 – Choose 25 educational courses to access for free (up to a $2400 value)
*Member practices that are participating in alternate benchmarking by Orthoforum or OrthoConnect can have their data uploaded for free. Contact data@aaoe.net for additional details.
Not a Member? Not a Problem!
Because AAOE believes participation in the survey is vital to your businesses success, we are offering free survey results to any other participants, as well as the many benefits and services exclusively available to AAOE members! You may choose to receive education courses at a lower rate.
Non-members also receive free access to educational courses:
- Complete Tier 1 – Choose 3 educational courses to access for free (up to a $300 value)
- Complete Tier 2 – Choose 10 educational courses to access for free (up to a $1000 value)
